Day 1 | Arrival at Entebbe International Airport (Travel Time 1hr+)

On arrival at the airport you will meet the company tour guide and manager, exchange greetings and then transfer to your hotel. You may have a quick review of the itinerary with the tour manager and he will answer any questions you may have. Dine and overnight.

Day 2 | Kibale N.P. | Nature walk in Bigodi Wetlands (Travel Time 5hr+)

Hippo at Kazinga Channel in Queen Elizabeth National Park

The tour driver picks you up at 7am, leaving for Kibale National Park which is located in western Uganda. By mid-day you will be in Fort Portal, the biggest town in the region and an hour’s drive to the park. Have a meal in Fort Portal and thereafter proceed to Kibale. Check into your lodge and relax. In the evening you will go for a walk in the Bigodi Wetlands which are located on the edge of Kibale Forest. Observe a variety of wildlife including several monkey species, birds, butterflies, trees and shrubs. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3 | Chimpanzee tracking | Queen Elizabeth N.P. (Travel Time 3hr+)

Nile Crocodile at Kazinga Channel in Queen Elizabeth National Park

After a quick breakfast transfer to the park office by 7.30am to meet the rangers and set off for the trek in the forest. Kibale Forest has an estimated 1000 Chimps, the population in Uganda. The forest also harbors many other species of primates including Mangabeys, Pottos, Monkeys, etc… Follow the Chimps through the forest for up to one hour and thereafter return to the lodge. Have lunch, check out and leave for Queen Elizabeth National Park.

Day 4 | Morning game drive | Afternoon boat safari

Have a quick hot cup of tea to warm you up (with a snack) and set off for the game drive at 7am. Observe plenty of animals which include Lions, Elephants, Buffaloes, Hyenas, Forest Hogs, and several species of Antelopes. Queen Elizabeth is one of the most scenic parks in Africa. Her landscape of grassy hills is dotted with an array of sparkling explosion craters that attract plenty of animals and birds. After close to three hours in the park return to the lodge. Have breakfast and relax at the lodge. After lunch you will go for the amazing boat safari on the Kazinga Channel. The boat safari offers incredible sightings of animals and birds. The channel hosts one of the biggest population of Hippos! Crocodiles, Buffaloes and Monitor Lizards are spotted throughout the boat safari. Big game such as Elephants and Antelopes come for a drink and fresh grass along the channel. After the 2 hours ride return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 5 | Morning game in Ishasha | continue to Bwindi (Travel Time 3hrs+)

African Buffaloes in Queen Elizabeth National Park

Have breakfast, check out of the lodge and drive to the southern region of the park called Ishasha. This area rewards with the rare sightings of the Tree-climbing Lions. Big game such as the Topi are also found in this part of park only. Continue out of the park, have lunch near Kihihi at the Savannah International Resort Hotel. Thereafter continue southwards, meandering through the mountainous landscape of southern Uganda. You reach Bwindi before nightfall, check into your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 6 | Gorilla tracking in Bwindi

Gorilla Babies at Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

Have early breakfast and transfer to the park office by 7.30am. You will take packed lunch, plus, at least one liter of drinking water, and a rain jacket. After allocation of a gorilla group and briefed about the gorillas and the park, the trek will start by 8am. You will spend no more than one hour around the Gorillas. Return and transfer back to the lodge for relaxation and overnight.

Day 7 | Travel to Kampala | Uganda Equator (Travel Time 8hrs+)

After breakfast check out and leave for Kampala. You shall have lunch in Mbarara town which is located almost halfway the journey. You will then stopover at the Uganda Equator line, take pictures and purchase some souvenirs from the crafts shop. Continue to Kampala, reaching late afternoon. Check into your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 8 | Transfer to the airport for your flight (Travel Time 1hrs+)

Before departure, if time allows depending on your flight schedule, you will do a tour of Kampala City to visit a number of cultural and religious landmarks. If time allows you will also visit the local markets, mingle with the locals and probably purchase some items which you may take as souvenirs. Lunch is in between the tours. Later transfer to Entebbe International Airport for your flight back home.
