Day 1 | Kampala | Rhino tracking | Murchison Falls N.P. (Travel Time 6hrs+)

Prepare for early pick up from Kampala at 7am and travel to Murchison Falls National Park. En-route you will visit the Ziwa Rhino and Wildlife Sanctuary ‒ home to white Rhinos in Uganda. Lead by an armed ranger, you will set out for a 1–2 hours trek on sanctuary see the Rhinos. Sanctuary supports other animals such as Leopards, Bushbuck, Kob, and Oribi among others. After the trek, return to the road, next stopover in Masindi town for lunch. Thereafter continue to Murchison Falls, check into your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2 | Game drive | Boat safari | hike the top of the Falls

At the top of Murchison Falls

You will have a quick cup of tea or coffee with a snack at 6am and set off for a game drive in the park to see many animals. Giraffes, Lions, Elephants, Buffaloes, Baboons, Warthogs, Hyenas and many Antelopes are not to be missed! Enjoy wonderful views of the lush savannah plains teeming with animals and birds. The game drive will last 4 hours, return to the lodge for breakfast and relax. Have lunch at 1pm and at 2.00pm go for the boat safari on the River Nile which offers incredible wildlife sightings. You get to see lots of Hippos, Crocodiles, Buffaloes, Elephants and plenty of water birds. The boat safari lasts 2 hours, having gone upstream up to the base of the spectacular Murchison Falls. Here you will leave the boat and set off on a 2km hike, up along the waterfalls to enjoy spectacular views of the world’s strongest waterfalls. The whole squeezes through a 7 meter gap between rocks, exploding into such a breathtaking sight! The hike is roughly 45mins, meet the driver at the top and transfer to the lodge. Have dinner and overnight.

Day 3 | Travel to Hoima | overnight at Lake Albert (Travel Time 4hrs+)

After breakfast, check out and travel to Hoima for stay near Lake Albert. Spend the day relaxing by the lodge and enjoy the beautiful sights across Lake Albert into the Congo. This stay is primarily intended to breakdown the express journey from Murchison to Kibale which is roughly 8 hours of drive. Otherwise you could opt to endure the tiresome drive straight to Kibale.

Day 4 | Travel to Kibale N.P. | Crater Lakes at Fort Portal (Travel Time 5hrs+)

After breakfast, check out and leave for Kibale National Park. Stopover in Fort Portal for lunch and a short tour which includes a short hike to the “top of the world”, a view point that offers wonderful views of the beautiful crater lakes, the lush landscape and the Rwenzori Mountains. You will then continue to Kibale, checking into your lodge for the evening and overnight.

Day 5 | Chimpanzee tracking | Nature walk in Bigodi Wetlands

Have breakfast at 6.30am and by 7am drive to the park offices where you meet with other travelers and the rangers who are to lead the trek. You are briefed about the Kibale and the tracking experience and by 8am start the trek into Kibale Forest where more than 1000 Chimps live, along with 12 other species primates and over 335 species of birds. You will spend up to an hour with a big community of over 100 Chimps. After this memorable encounter return to the lodge, have lunch and relax. Later you will go for a light walk in the Bigodi Wetlands located at the edge of the Kibale forest. The wetland supports plenty of wildlife including monkeys, and over 200 species of birds. After the wetland walk return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 6 | Transfer to Kampala (Travel Time 5hrs+)

After breakfast, check out and travel back to Kampala.
