Day 1 | Kampala to Lake Mburo Wildlife Safari (Travel Time 2hrs+)

From Kampala, drive to Lake Mburo National Park using Masaka road. The park is made up of a diverse eco-systems and this has rendered it to be one of the richest in biodiversity. Expect to see animals like zebras, elands, and buffaloes, impalas, roan antelopes, leopards, hyenas, bushbucks, and klipspringer. After lunch take a boat trip on Lake Mburo; along the shores of the lake, you can spot crocodiles, hippos, pelicans, herons, cormorants, fish eagles and the rare shoebill stork.

Day 2 | Lake Mburo Safari Game Viewing | Bwindi Impenetrable Forests (Travel Time 5hrs+)

African Buffaloes in Queen Elizabeth National Park

After an early breakfast, go for a morning game drive which will offer a wonderful encounter with the wildlife like zebras, waterbucks, buffaloes, topis, elands, leopards, and a variety of bird species. After the game drive, transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park having lunch on the way to Bwindi, continue using Mbarara road and later pass through the beautiful evergreen mountain country which is well known as, the “Little Switzerland of Uganda”. Arrive at Bwindi late in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Day 3 | Bwindi Impenetrable Forests | Gorilla Trekking Safari

Have an early morning breakfast and then head to the Bwindi headquarters for a briefing. This rainforest is spectacular as it offers a dramatic, heavily forested and dense landscape crisscrossed by numerous animal trails, allowing access for tourists. This Park is best known for the fascinating gorillas, where the time is taken to find them; the terrain varies according to the movements of these marvellous primates. The thrill of spending time and observing these gentle giant gorillas is a rare, moving, awesome and also exciting adventure that will leave you with long lasting memories of a truly unique experience. The gorillas are shy and peaceful animals and it is an unforgettable experience to watch and photograph them as they play and interact with each other. In the evening, have a cultural walk and interact with the local people. Participate in captivating traditional performances presented by women’s groups or orphan children groups. Note that the fees you pay for these performances go directly to improve the welfare of families around the park.

Day 4 | Bwindi Impenetrable Forest to Kampala (Travel Time 9hrs+)

After breakfast drive back to Kampala. While Heading to Kampala have lunch on the way. On the way to Kampala make a stopover at the Mpigi Royal Drum Makers. Here you will be able to watch the ceremonial drums being crafted using methods passed down through generations. Make another stop at the equator for photographs. You will be transferred to your hotel for dinner and overnight or to the airport for your departure flight.
