Day 1 | Kibale National Park | Nature walk in Bogodi (Travel Time 5hrs+)

Great Blue Turaco in Kibale Forest

Set off from Kampala at 7am and travel to Kibale Forest National Park. You will have a meal in Fort Portal, the main town nearest to park. Continue to Kibale and check into your lodge located near the park. Later in the afternoon you shall head out for a guided walk in the Bigodi Wetlands which are located next to the park on the eastern edge. You will see several species of monkeys, birds, colorful butterflies and unique plants. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2 | Chimpanzee Tracking | Queen Elizabeth N.P. (Travel Time 3hrs+)

Chimpanzee tracking at Kibale Forest

You will have breakfast at about 6.30am and thereafter transfer to park office at 7am to meet the rangers. After a briefing head off into the forest to track a community of habituated Chimpanzees. Kibale Forest supports a population of about 1000 Chimps, the biggest of any forest in Uganda. Many other primates that inhabit the forest can be sighted during the trek such as L’Hoest Monkey, Grey-cheeked Mangabey, Black-and-white Colobus, Baboons, etc… After an exciting encounter with the Chimps, which is limited to only one hour, you will return to the lodge for lunch and thereafter check out and transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Dinner and overnight.

Day 3 | Morning game drive | lunch | afternoon boat safari

Boat Cruise on Kazinga Channel

After a quick cup of tea or coffee with snack drive off into the park to start the early game drive which will be at about 7am. Drive through the game tracks in the vast and lush Kasenyi plains where a lot of animals can be observed such as Elephants, Lions, Hyenas, Buffaloes, and Antelopes. Enjoy the beautiful scenery of sparkling explosion craters and the vast greenery. The game drive will last 3 hours, return to the lodge for breakfast and relaxation. Lunch is at 1pm after which you will go for the 2pm boat ride on the Kazinga Channel which rewards with such wonderful sightings of Hippos, Crocodiles, Monitor Lizards, Buffaloes, Elephants and an array of water birds. The ride is 2 hours long, return and transfer to the lodge. Later is dinner and overnight.

Day 4 | Travel back to Kampala | Uganda Equator (Travel Time 7hrs+)

Lion babies in Queen Elizabeth National Park

After breakfast check out and travel back to Kampala, with lunch en-route in Mbarara town and stopover at the Uganda Equator. End the safari with a drop off at your hotel.
