Sezibwa Falls

You shall leave for Jinja ‒ Eastern Uganda, either at 6.30am if you are to be picked up from Entebbe or at 7am if you are in Kampala. Jinja or the Eastern region in general is by far the most adventurous place in Uganda. It hosts Lake Victoria and sets the flow of the mighty River Nile where adventure enthusiasts enjoy an array of water activities and wonderful scenery!

Drive out of Kampala, taking the Kampala ‒ Jinja highway along which is located two popular tourist sites that you get to visit. The first site is the Sezibwa Falls, located 32km from Kampala, 1.5km off the highway and is reached within a 45 minute drive from Kampala. Find the local site guide to take you on a guided tour around the falls. Enjoy the views of the waterfall and observe some wildlife in the river and nearby forest and thickets. Otters in the river and monkeys are common sightings. Colorful birds and butterflies populate the grounds. An hour will be spent at Sezibwa Falls before returning to continue the journey.

Return and transfer to your hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 2 | Full day rafting the Nile | transfer back to Kampala

Have breakfast at 7am, check out of the hotel and transfer to Itanda for the thrilling white water rafting adventure on the Nile. A team of professional, experienced and fun rafting guides warmly receive you and take through the rafting preparations such as fitting the rafting gear and simple demonstrations for first timers! By 9am you are getting into the rafts and off you float away. You raft a stretch of over 20km along which you enter up to 9 rapids, 4 of which are grade 5! Enjoy the greenery along the Nile and sighting of several wildlife including lots of birds. The rafting is broken down by a lunch at 1pm. You complete the rafting stretch by 5pm. Leave Jinja and drive back to Kampala.
