Topi in Swahili: topi (Damaliscus lunatus)

Shoulder height: 125 cm; weight: 120 – 150 kg. Basically a darker version of the hartebeest but with striking yellow lower legs and straighter horns, this widespread but thinly and patchily distributed antelope also known as the tsessebe, occur alongside the much paler Coke’s hartebesst in Serengeti National Park, where it is common.
