Lesser Kudu in Swahili: tandala ndogo (Tragelaphus imberbis)
Shoulder height: 95 – 105 cm; weight: 60 – 100 kg. The thinly distributed and skittish East African species largely restricted to a rid wooland. In Tanzania, it often occurs alongside the greater kudu, from it can be distinguished by its smaller size, two white throat patches and greater number of stripes (at least 11). Nowhere common, it ismostly likely to be encountered in Tarangire, Ruaha and Mkomazo national parks.
